As i read Karls blog I'v understood that shes a very upfront person who feels free to speak her mind. I feel that this is a good thing, although there are probably some people who disagree with some things that she says. Karl is right "Technology is the underpinning of just about everything we do today."
We communicate on the internet, we email, my space, facebook, look up information, type papers, ex. I do also agree with her about the fact that teachers really should be technologically literate. I honestly believe that everyone should be to a certain extent. Technology is expanding major and fast and people need to get on track now because computers will probably someday control the world, and they are getting more complex everyday and the longer people wait the harder its going to be to learn.

You made some good comments and there is no way that you can get around in any line of work now days without needing to have some type of computer skills. Everyone is now tied to the computers and other venues of technology just to make it through the day.
Read Mr. Fisch's bio and you might want to change your comments from she to he.

Did you happen to see the news last night? There was a article about a man who grew up in a small town that has gone back and donated laptop computers and ipods to be used on the bus ride to and from school (1 1/2 hrs. one way) to encourage the students to stay technologically connected.
